Rosendo of Mexico

Color serigraph

18” x 13” Framed

In Rosendo of Mexico, Rose shows a confident young boy whose face and large hat stand out from the print’s flattened, decorative background. A palm tree, as well as the predominating palette of greens and sandy browns, situates the sitter in the village of Ajijic. He is wearing a fine green shirt with a collar and clean overalls. His modest appearance is elevated by his happy, lighthearted expression of his reserved smile and tilted head.
