This is another rare representation of a Maryland house belonging to African American people one hundred years ago. A man kneels in prayer and a woman stands with hands raised in thanks toward two black angels trumpeting from above a small wooden Eastern Shore house. Set in a mature woodlands, the cabin is neat, orderly, and there is light emerging from the open door and window.
